The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
