(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
