Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
