The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
