Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known extent. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
