Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
