Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
