Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
