And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
