Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
