And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
