۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 right before your very eyes? 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
