The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 And who softly release the soul of the believer. 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
