Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
