The Comet (Al-Taareq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
