T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
