Say: 'O my Lord, if Thou shouldst show me that they are promised, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
