The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 They sat by it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
