The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in towering columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
