Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
