And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
