And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
