The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
