Is it not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people (who thus reaped the consequence of evil-doing) that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not? 100 These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers 101 We did not find many of them faithful to their promises, and found many of them disobedient. 102 Then we raised after them Musa with Our communications to Firon and his chiefs, but they disbelieved in them; consider then what was the end of the mischief makers. 103 Moses said, "Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 104 Approved upon condition that I speak concerning Allah nothing but the truth. I come unto you (lords of Egypt) with a clear proof from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me. 105 The Pharaoh asked Moses to show his miracles if he was telling the truth. 106 So Moses threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest. 107 Then he drew out his hand, and it appeared luminous to all beholders. 108
