The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE DECREE of GOD will surely come; so do not try to hasten it: Too glorious and high is He for what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down this spirit (of prophecy) by His command through His angels on any of His servants whom He wills, (directing them): "Warn people that there is no deity but Me; so hold Me alone in fear." 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 3 He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent. 4 And He creates cattle: you derive warmth from them, and [various other] uses; and from them you obtain food; 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 They carry your heavy loads to lands which you would not have been able to reach without great difficulty. Your Lord is certainly Compassionate and All-Merciful. 7 And [it is He who creates] horses and mules and asses for you to ride, as well as for [their] beauty: and He will yet create things of which [today] you have no knowledge. 8 God's it is to show the way; and some do swerve from it. If He willed, He would have guided you all together. 9
