And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 And all the hidden secrets of the heavens and the earth are (written) in a clear Book. (The Preserved Tablet) 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
