We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without purpose, even though this is the belief of the disbelievers. Woe to the disbelievers; they will suffer the torment of fire 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 We have sent down a Book to you which is blessed, so that people may apply their minds to its revelations, and the men of wisdom may reflect. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 When they brought fleet-footed chargers in the evening to show him, 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 He then ordered, “Bring them back to me”; and he began caressing their shins and necks. 33 Certainly We tried Solomon, and We cast upon his throne a mere body; then he repented. 34 He said, 'My Lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely Thou art the All-giver.' 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,- 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 and others linked together in fetters. 38 'This is Our gift, give or withhold without reckoning' 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
