Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Are with them the treasures of thy Lord! or are they the dispensers? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
