The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
