Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 These people say, 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
