Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
