Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you' 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
