Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things. 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 It is He who has created seven heavens, one above the other. You can see no flaw in the creation of the Beneficent God. Look again. Can you see faults? 3 Then turn your vision again, and then again; in the end your vision will come back to you, worn out and frustrated. 4 We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and We have made them for driving away devils. For them We have prepared the punishment of the blazing Fire. 5 For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination. 6 When they are cast into that [hell,] they will hear its breath indrawing as it boils up, 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" 10 So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire. 11 But those who fear their Lord in the Unseen, for them there is forgiveness and a great wage. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 How could He who created not know His own creation, when He alone is the Most Subtle in His wisdom and the All Aware? 14
