The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 [If so,] then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
