Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
