The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
