SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 from which you are turning away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
