Say, "[God says] O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world will have a good reward -- and God's earth is spacious. Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure." 10 Say: "I am commanded to worship God with obedience all-exclusive for Him; 11 And I am commanded to be the first of those who submit." 12 Say: "If I disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of an evil Day." 13 Say: 'God I serve, making my religion His sincerely; 14 (As for yourselves) worship what you will, other than Him' Say: 'The losers are surely those who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Is that not a clear loss' 15 For them! above them shall be coverings of Fire and beneath them coverings. Therewith Allah affrighteth His bondmen. O My bondmen! wherefore fear Me. 16 Those who shun the worship of idols and turn in repentance to Allah for them glad tidings. Therefore give good tidings to My worshipers, 17 (Muhammad), give the glad news to those of Our servants who listen to the words and only follow the best ones. Tell them that they are those whom God has guided. They are the people of understanding. 18 Is he then on whom is justified the decree of torment - wilt thou rescue him who is in the Fire? 19 But those who fear their Lord, for them are lofty chambers with lofty chambers above them, built whereunder rivers flow: the promise of Allah, and Allah faileth not the appointment. 20 Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky, then makes it flow in rills on the earth, and brings forth corn from it which, having passed through changes of shade and colour, comes to ripen, and you see it autumnal yellow; then He reduces it to chaff. There are indeed lessons in this for those who are wise. 21
