No, by the moon! 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
