Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
