And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape. 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Spirit fall down unto him prostrate. 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 "Till the predetermined time." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, you shall have no power over My true servants, except those misguided ones who choose to follow you. 42 and for all such, behold, hell is the promised goal. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
