Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 where they shall live for ever. The promise of Allah is the truth; He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and cast on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. Upon it He dispersed all manner of crawling thing, and He sent down water from the sky with which He caused to grow in it every generous kind. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
