Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
