Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
