NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
