The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and gently take it away; 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 and gathered his people together 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
