Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
