Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 It contains glad news and warnings (for the people), but most of them have ignored it and do not listen. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted. 8
