The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
