The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
